"Cool" Kids Rule High School Musical: The Ice Tour

Perhaps one day there will be an in-depth study that says the fun quotient goes up when a story is presented on ice. "High School Musical," that Disney phenom that every tween you knew had seen like, um, 47 times, unless you count like those other five times at that one slumber party, so, 52, skates into the rink with the same cool-kid vibe that made the original movie, and its sequels, majorly successfully hugely big hits.
But, while tweens led ticket sales for everything (clothes/DVDs/CDs/folders/decor) HSM-related, let's not leave parents out of this. We personally know several hip moms with Zac Efron crushes, ladies who can sing along with every heartfelt Gabrielle/Troy duet (by the way, do those moms know Zac is tied to a "Footloose" redo? Hello, '80s-era heartthrobbery.) So the ice show should garner as much grown-up attention as it does from the kids.
What to expect? Many of the songs from the films. What not to expect? The stars from the films; talented skaters recreate the roles of those basketball-playing, theater-loving Wildcats (actually, we're kind of curious about the whole basketball-on-ice thing).
Should be, as Sharpay might say, genius. More tales told on ice, we say. Not just movies and TV shows. Concerts, dinner theater, wine tastings... um, well, maybe that's not such a hot idea.
