HOLLYWOOD— Though Capitol City Sports Grille was originally projected to open August 1, the upscale sports bar/gastropub/??? has approximated a new debut for mid-August. As for the "upscale" part, CC will offer padded and upholstered stools and chairs, five audio zones for separate games to air, and complementary “Soundog” wireless speakers available for use at individual tables. Chef Shad Davis (Belmont, Stone Fire Pizza, The Corner) will direct the kitchen and 30 beers will appear on tap, with an additional 30-40 in bottle. [EaterWire]

CENTURY CITY— Yet another foodie Extravaganza is on the horizon. This year's 12th Annual Extravaganza for the Senses will raise funds for The Saban Free Clinic on July 18 at Century Fox Studios. There will be plenty of food from 40 restaurants including Milk, Pace, Rush Street, Chez Jay, Chaya Venice, to name a few. Tickets start at $100 ($225 for VIP which includes parking, early entry and seating in the lounge), but we will be giving some away later this week so check back soon! [EaterWire]
