Los Angeles Zoo

Next month, the Los Angeles Zoo will transform the habitats of the American black bears, Sumatran tigers, snow leopards and Sichuan takins into a snowy winter wonderland.

It's not often Los Angeles gets snow. As in "not often," I mean never, so you may want to save the date now.

The event is scheduled for the weekend of March 14 and 15.

Seriously, look at the photo. It's a bear playing in snow. Brace yourself for cuteness.

Check out another photo of the maxed-out cuteness.

The Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens is located in Griffith Park at the junction of the 134 and 5 freeways. Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for children (ages 2 to 12). The Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. For information, call 323-644-4200 or visit www.lazoo.org.
