OC Fair Piglets: Small and Sweet and Just a Week Old

Piglets are the go-to animal for many animal lovers when they need an extreme dose of curly-tailed squealiness. It's just... everything. The soft downy skin, the snout that's smaller than the tip of a thumb, the wee little hooves. Oh boy. We almost -- *almost* -- typed wee *wittle* hooves there.
Because we can't help ourselves. Either can you, piglet people. And the expectant pig mamas are some of the most crowded-around parts of the OC Super Fair, year after year. You know the area: there's often a whiteboard above the pen displaying a due date, and usually a helpful person nearby who can answer any questions regarding gestation periods, are the mothers comfortable, what the diets are, and so forth.
Rosie is one of those 2009 pig moms, and while she was due on opening day -- that was July 10th -- she actually gave birth just hours ahead, on the afternoon of July 9th. Final count: Twelve bundles of piglet-y goodness.
If you want to see the piglets -- and oh, they'll be growing by the day -- the Fair is on through Sunday, August 2nd.
It's when they wag their tails that we have to grip the side of the pen lest we swoon. The tail-wagging piglet adorableness. There's another picture on the Fair's Facebook page. Highly recommend, if you can handle darling baby animal pictures without wanting to reach through the screen and cuddle one. We think you're strong enough.
