THE BOWL, THE WILTERN, THE CERRITOS CENTER: R&B crooner Maxwell is serenading Hollywood Bowl; that wry bardess of the everyday -- Aimee Mann, of course -- is at The Wiltern; and The Bangles must be very happy it is Friday, and not Monday. They're at Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.
SO WHO GOT THOMAS LENNON'S SHORTS? They were up for auction, for a good cause. Looks like someone nabbed 'em for a goodly sum. Congrats. Now that person should wear them out to the comedian's show at the Improv tonight. Too meta? Can anything be too meta? He's at the club tomorrow night, too, for two shows. Tonight's gig is at 8PM.
"RESERVOIR DOGS": It's been up on the marquee at The New Beverly for a long time now. Would you miss this Tarantino gem at one of the grindhousiest cinemas in all the land? You probably wouldn't. It's at midnight. It'll be a crowd. You know the crowd. It'll be raucous. Just wear your skinny tie and remember the shades.
