11/20: “Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice” Anniversary

A sexy, seminal movie turns 40.

"BOB & CAROL & TED & ALICE" 40TH ANNIVERSARY: Besides being one of the most ampersand-laden films in American history, this Paul Mazursky-directed romp is one of the most satirical about sexual mores. It still rocks boats, even the famous poster of four people in bed. Mr. Mazursky, Dyan Cannon, Elliott Gould, and Robert Culp will be Q&Aing at the Aero screening. Can we just say !!! So many exclamation points, so necessary. 7:30PM

NEIL YOUNG TRIBUTE CONCERT: Good tunes played by local musicians -- Ferraby Lionheart, The Parson Redheads, Jason Simon, and Delta Spirit included -- in support of the Children's Music Fund. It's at the Bootleg Theatre, it's $12 at the door, and it's where you should be if you dig "Heart of Gold" (and if you have a heart of gold).

HOLIDAY IN THE PARK: Magnolia's pretty merry on most days of the year, but its merry quotient goes up tonight with a community gathering. This has a true neighborhoody feel to us; businesses along a stretch of the Burbank-located boulevard and Hollywood Way will be putting on open houses, there will be choiring, treats, and much celebrating of la vida big B. Oh, did we just say that? We did. We love the big B so.
