"ALL TOMORROW'S PARTIES": A modern-day who's who of mic and poem and keyboard have played this British music festival. Think Belle & Sebastian, Sonic Youth, Nick Cave. The Cinefamily is screening a doc about the rock -- twice, actually, at 8PM and 11PM -- with live DJing to boot. If you've never been, and it has been eating at you, this is a step toward sanity. It's $12.
ROMNEY STEELE SIGNING: Yep. If we could live inside one restaurant -- actually in the restaurant -- it might just be Nepenthe, one of the Golden State's most celebrated eateries. Plus, all those surf-lined Big Sur vistas. Romney Steele, a member of the family behind Nepenthe, has a new book out, and she's signing at Book Soup. See her at 7PM.
JOHN ADAMS AND KRONOS QUARTET: They're at Walt Disney Concert Hall, they're taking on Frank Zappa and the Fog Tropes. If you're a City by the Bay buff, and probably everyone is, this is a concert to make. Will this music feel like you're sitting in some hilltop park, watching weather roll in for the evening? 8PM
