It's big news in the burlesque world that its most-famous superstar -- we'll go with the hyperbole, because we're pretty sure there's no name more household-y in the bump-and-grind set than Dita Von Teese -- is debuting a brand new number at The Avalon on Wednesday, July 22nd.

Will there be a giant glass, pretty bubbles, a pert little chapeau cocked to one side of her brunette curls? That shall all be seen at the scene, but the other headline here is that Ms. Von Teese has been Tweeting about her new act, and lots of other matters, a lot. We're not the first people to find this out; after all, the dancer has over 100,000 followers on Twitter, and is regularly updating fans regarding rehearsals and tickets and so forth.

If only every star/singer/dancer/performer would do that. We know, a lot of them do, or are trying to, and the legions are growing. We need to know if our favorite band wants us to wear all black, or green, or glow-in-the-dark to the show. That t-shirts will be on sale for the first 50 people to arrive. That sliders will served in the bar. That the lead singer has a sore throat. And so forth.

By the way, Ms. VT just Tweeted that the show is sold out but she's trying to get some tickets released at the door. Breaking news, Von Teese-ian style.

July 22nd is the night, Cointreau is on board, special guests are promised. Make for Hollywood. Dress divine. Dita does. 8PM doors
