Earth Day in the California State Parks

You can sign up and help out.

Our state parks are often in the news for budgetary reasons, but on Saturday, April 17, headlines will be made due to large groups descending on the parks to help out in myriad ways.

The reason? Earth Day. Earth Day falls on April 22, but on the Saturday before, the California State Parks Foundation will be leading clean-up and non-native plant removal and fence building and other important projects at several of our most beautiful spots.

And several are right here in or near the Los Angeles area. Wildwood Canyon State Park, Malibu Lagoon State Beach, Los Angeles State Historic Park. Many beaches. Many places that need your TLC.

If you've wondered how you can lend a hand with our state parks, you can start on April 17. Sign-up is a snap. Start here.
