Feathers to Fly at Pershing Square

International Pillow Fight Day returns, with a wallop.

Well, it is one way to celebrate April Fool's week.

Some people switch the sugar and salt in the work cupboard. (Bad.) Some people wear their pants inside out. (Good?) And some people gather together every early April to hurl cushions at total strangers.

Total strangers who have signed up for having cushions swung in their general direction. Yes, it is International Pillow Fight Day, and, like last year, Pershing Square will be the scene of all the soft-padding mayhem.

Why? Right. Um. It feels like a hearty "because" is in order here.

If you want to join, you can. Just remember this is a little different than jumping on your bed in your skivvies, swinging. For one, you should be properly attired. It will be 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 3. Pants work.

Get more details. And if you don't want to participate, watching from a good distance seems like an entertaining second choice.
