In 2008, over 4,000 people and 250 volunteers walked together to raise nearly $500,000 to help the homeless. United Way's HomeWalk 5K is back this year on November 7 and they hope do even better.

All money raised from HomeWalk is distributed back into the community to help quickly rehouse homeless families and provide permanent housing with supportive services.

It all starts with a good pair of walking shoes.
