Farmers Market at Third and Fairfax is taking a similarly sweet route for Valentine's 2011. Rather than setting up the violins and bottles of bubbly for the sweet day, they're hosting an adoption fair, with Bark Avenue. The day is called "Puppy Love" but it looks all sorts of dogs will be available for adopting.
Yep. We're having Puppy Bowl withdrawal, so we're hoping this day out at the Market will help. It's doing down on Valentine's Eve -- Sunday, Feb. 13 -- from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Also going down will be cookie decorating with nearby Sur La Table. Again, it is related to the holiday, but more hands-on. We always like an off-beat alternative, especially when there's pink frosting involved. Or wet slobberies from a new, coming-home-with-us pup.
