Plaisir

One of the tenets we try to follow is that if something is happening at or on an exclusive studio, a place we'd probably never get to see, we go. We could stare at our own knee for three hours if it meant sitting inside a famous soundstage or working photo space.

But when there's food involved, we skip the knee-staring and go straight to the supping. The beer-laden Block Party is giving revelers a chance to visit Paramount's backlot on Saturday, July 31. And on Friday, July 30, Miauhaus Studios on La Brea will be opening its doors to Savor Los Angeles.

The foodie extravaganza is gathering together dishes from desserteries like Plaisir, N'ice Cream, and Gotta Have S'More. There will be people who make the good stuff there, talking to fans. There will be caffeinated accompaniment from Intelligentsia. There will be champers on the house, and other bevs. Plus a DJ. Plus a photo booth. Wipe those s'more crumbs off before taking a seat.

General tickets are $35 ahead of the event. There's a VIP option for $55. Graham-cracker-y marshmallow bites. Champagne. In an artsy studio. VIP is probably the way to go here. Savor's hours run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
