Tonight: An Evening with Jerry Lee Lewis

The Grammy Museum fetes a rock legend ahead of his 75th.

AN EVENING WITH JERRY LEE LEWIS: Is it possible to write about a person who helped coax rock into being without summoning the words "Whole Lotta Shaking"? Maybe, but that particular phrasing says a lot, for obvious reasons. After all, Mr. Lewis helped shake the foundations of music as it was, right before everything changed. He's at the Grammy Museum tonight at 8 p.m.

"THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG": Here are four names that will tell you much about the new Reprise production opening at the Freud tonight. Jason Alexander. Neil Simon. Marvin Hamlisch. And Carole Bayer Sager, who likely penned the last lovey-dovey classic you hummed. "Song" is a peppy musical valentine, indeed. Always welcome.

"BAD NEWS BEARS": It's an LA-based movie, it's a sports favorite (hence why it is playing at ArcLight Sherman Oaks tonight; all the ArcLights have gone sporty this month), and there's an interesting story about that "Bad New Bears" Park you always drive by near the 405. Read about the park, on your way to the film. Plus: Jackie Earle Haley! On a bike lookin' all tough and stuff. Again, always welcome.
