Tonight: Jakob Dylan at the Grammy Museum

He's got a new album just ahead.

JAKOB DYLAN: Still feeling "Sixth Avenue Heartache"? We all are. Now the Wallflower rocks on his own, at the Grammy Museum, tonight. Plus, there will be conversation. Will it pertain to the balladeer's new album "Women and Country," out tomorrow? Very likely.

SAPPHIRE: Her novel "Push" became the movie "Precious"; now the lauded poet and author is stopping by the Central Library to talk "Re-writing the American Dream" with playwright Brighde Mullins. How "Push" became a film, and Sapphire's next work, will be discussed.

PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE: There are a couple of lovely things going down at the Newman Recital Hall at USC. One, an evening devoted to instruments that resonate ("exotic" choices are promised). And two, it is a free night. If you like drums, and saving money, the next step is up to you.
