Many know him as the King of Pop or possibly the greatest entertainer to change the world of music.

On Thursday night, Michael Jackson’s career talents will be celebrated and honored at Universal CityWalk.

The public event will include outdoor screenings of "The Wiz" and Jackson’s "Thriller" video.  It begins at 7 p.m. and will also include a live "dance retrospective" of Jackson's musical career.

Michael Jackson not only established himself as an entertainer, but as an actor. Jackson appeared as the Scarecrow in "The Wiz," the 1978 retelling of "The Wizard of Oz." Diana Ross, who was named in Jackson's will as an alternate guardian of his three children, starred in the film as Dorothy, along with Lena Horne, Nipsey Russell and Richard Pryor.

John Landis directed "Thriller," which became Jackson's signature video and helped cement him as an entertainment superstar in 1983.
