Coach Pete Carroll wants you in the lineup Friday night at the Coliseum.

LA is one of three U.S. cities participating in the Nike Plus Human Race. The event will be Friday night at 12:01 a.m.

About 7,500 runners are expected to participate, according to organizers. The field includes actor Wilmer Valderrama, "90210"  cast member AnnaLynne McCord and Michael Rady and Shaun Sipos from "Melrose  Place."

It's an opportunity to hang out under the LA Coliseum lights and help the coach with his charity -- A Better LA foundation. Carroll's nonprofit supports communities in their goal to reduce gang violence, in part through sports programming.

The other U.S. sites are New York City and the Ohio State University. Runners will participate in 5K and 10K events. Races will also take place in more than 20 other cities, including Rome and Buenos Aires.

And the fun doesn't stop at the finish line.

The Ultimate Nike Tailgate is Saturday before the USC-Oregon State game. Race participants can feast on barbecue, beer and cupcakes. Diplo, LA Riots and TroubleMaker will perform.
