Your job: Get to the restaurant. Our job: Help you order. This week, NBCLA's Eat This journey takes us out for...
The Anaheim White House 100th Birthday: Few restaurants make a year. Fewer still a decade. Then there's the Anaheim White House, which celebrates a century in 2009.
How are they celebrating? The restaurant has offered a very swank deal every 100 days during 2009. In short, be one of the first 100 people to make a reservation on that 100th day, and get a $100 certificate for your next visit to the White House.
The next 100th day... Is Tuesday, October 27th. And it is the last of the year.
Reservations still available... Include lunch, but not dinner. Take the boss out on a Tuesday, and snag a certificate (but don't forget to make a reservation first, and ask if you're one of the lucky first 100 people to do so).
Presidential rooms: The White House is a pretty sumptuous, fancy-frou spot. Think gorgeous settings, elaborately draped windows and dining areas named after presidents. Including President Obama.
Presidential eats: We want to try the Lyndon Johnson Linguine Marinara on the special centennial lunch menu. Or the Dwight Eisenhower Whitefish.
Even if you miss the 100th day deal... Christmas is coming, and Anaheim White House does. It. Up. And, there is a lunch and a dinner menu that spotlights the centennial; order from it throughout 2009.
