From the ever more devious minds of movie marketing comes this stroke of product-placement genius: The Hotel for Dogs at the Westfield Mall, to promote... "Hotel for Dogs" the movie. Oh-so conveniently timed for the holiday shopping season, the "hotel" offers to dog-sit your fuzzy little darling while you scramble to do Santa's bidding.

The question is, why go to the trouble of packing up your pooch and hauling him to the mall when you could just leave him home like all the other times? First of all, F-R-E-E. After the first four hours, it's only $10 an hour, and all those proceeds go straight to New Leash on Life Animal Rescue. With all the homeless furry friends out there, many facing euthanasia, that's a cause worth a little inconvenience. Plus, dogs are people too; they need play dates and schmooze time just like us. Some delightful bum-sniffing, enthusiastic tail wagging, bonding over Snausages and Milk Bones -- it's like a four-legged Hollywood cocktail party where PETA's cool with the fur.
