While thousands of homes foreclose, automotive big-wigs grovel for bail-outs, and the Dow sinks lower than OJ Simpson, there are still a few daisies rising from the brush. Trader Joe's is one of them, opening a new store in Brentwood -- not a place traditionally known for its affordable fare.
Frankly it's a long-time coming considering the proximity of hungry UCLA students. How psyched are they? Aisles of Two-Buck Chuck, frozen burgers, peanut-butter pretzels and cheap Vodka -- that's heaven on a Friday night. With Bel Air next door, prepare for some primo star-spotting, too. Our newest TJ's savior opens today with a ceremony at 9AM.
