Holiday travelers take heart: you can now fly across the country and still have a full charge left on your iPod or PSP. Callpod has introduced a portable battery / recharging system that can refuel even the hungriest power-draining device. And it’s not a bad gift idea either.

Called Fueltank, the device contains a rechargeable lithium ion battery that has more than 7 times the capacity of a standard mobile phone. Users can plug-in and charge two devices at the same time. You can also play your device while it’s charging.

Fueltank can be customized with adapters for your specific phone and uses standard USB ports. Proprietary voltage regulator technology senses the amount of power required to charge your devices. LED fuel capacity indicators display how much juice you have left. Onced drained FuelTank can be recharged in about three hours. It weighs less than 8 ounces and fits nicely in a briefcase or backpack.

Callpod says FuelTank works with thousands of mobile devices such as iPods, cell phones, Bluetooth headsets, PDAs, digital cameras, navigation units, mp3 players, digital readers and portable gaming systems. It's available online now through Callpod's website for $69 plus shipping.
