Bar Centro in the SLS Bazaar. Question: Does that monkey in the photo watch your seat while you get up to fetch another Scotch?

Starry names gather tonight for the official launch of Beverly Hills' newest place to hob-nob: The SLS Hotel. SLS is the first in the new Luxury Collection of hotels the brand has planned, claiming to "rethink every aspect of the luxury hotel concept."

The Look: In-demand designer Philippe Starck crafted the luxe space, open and modern but with warm nooks and crannies built for gossipy, martini-holding hipster huddles.

The Vibe: Exclusive. Before "that's what they all say" crosses your mind, consider the separate entrances for guests and the public. They mean business.

The Lure: Gift shops and continental breakfasts? Shame on you. SLS has The Bazaar, an "indoor piazza" filled with delicacy-laden food, and a retail area they're calling a "shop without walls" (A hallway? A really big kiosk?). At the heart of The Bazaar is Bar Centro, serving highly imaginative cocktails whipped and emulsified into lip-smacking modernity.

The Celebs: Salma Hayek, Amanda Bynes, Bill Maher (guys, keep your girlfriends close), Jared Leto, Jermaine Dupri and Randy Jackson are just a few of the guests who will toast the new hotspot. Retro-swank Pink Martini performs.

No invitation? After today The Bazaar is open to the public. Gotta get a room? Snag special grand-opening savings.
