“Looper” Pics Show Joseph Gordon-Levitt With Bruce Willis' Chin

Trailer right around the corner

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and writer-director Rian Johnson collaborated on one of the best indies of the past decade, "Brick," and have joined forces again for the sci-fi thriller "Looper."

The film stars JGL as an assassin whose sole job is to kill people from the future who are sent back in time, a great gig until one day he finds his target is his future self, played by Bruce Willis. Gordon-Levitt were on hand at WonderCon this weekend to unveil some pics and debut the trailer, which isn't on line yet.

If you're wondering what's up with Gordon-Levitt's chin, the guy sat for three hours of make-up every day to make himself look like a more believable younger version of Willis.

For a nice play-by-play of the trailer, as well as highlights of the Q&A that took place after the clip played, head over to Collider. The film also stars Paul Dano, Piper Perabo, Jeff Daniels and Garrett Dillahunt. Here's the official synopsis:

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market.  When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up.  Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.  The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels.  Ram Bergman and James D. Stern produce.

"Looper" opens Sept. 28.
