Disney's New “Snow White” Movie Turning Into “Seven Samurai,” Roller-Baby Guy Hired to Direct

Lost in all the recent developments on the "Snow White" films starring Lily Collins and Kristen Stewart is Disney's own re-take on the classic tale, which has recently changed its title and now has a director.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon is among the writers who've taken a shot at what was once called "Snow and the Seven," and was set in feudal China and featured a septet of international Ronin.

Now in an effort to separate themselves from the Snow pack, Disney is calling the film "The Order of the Seven," and focuses on the the chance at redemption offered by a fleeing Englishwoman whom they encounter.

Additionally, Michael Gracey, the special effects wiz perhaps best known for his super creepy rolling dancing babies commercial for Evian (see below), has been hired to direct the film.

While Gracey is toiling away on bringing his vision to this story, the as-yet-untitled Snow White film starring Lily Colins and Julia Roberts will arrive March 16, and "Snow White and the Huntsman," starring Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron, will be here June 1.
