The remarks were made after Mr. Cimino reportedly assigned his students "three times more homework than usual in December."
The school was told about the remarks and subsequently suspended Tobolski for "cyberbulling."
The American Civil Liberties Union took offense with the school's decision and sent a letter saying Tobolski's free speech rights had been violated.
