Apple Brings the Bling

Apple will unveil a new gold iPhone at its September 10 event, which will likely be popular in Asia and other developing countries, according to a report.

The gold iPhone has been written about for the last week, with reports stemming from both MacRumors and 9to5Mac, and rumors about the golden-colored iPhone persist, according to TechCrunch.

The 9to5Mac account states that the at least one of the new iPhones will be called the iPhone 5C, which will refer to color, but it's unknown if that means the gold as well as the cheaper plastic ones Apple is also rumored to be creating. Previously, we have written about rumors that said Apple will be delivering $99 colorful, plastic iPhones with 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch screens to appeal to the global market. It has also been rumored to have fingerprint sensor technology.

The color gold is also considered to be attractive to the global market, especially China and India, TechCrunch reported.

If the new gold iPhone is in the works, then Apple has embraced the idea of change and is working to address the developing world not only with new prices but also new colors. However, we hope that the new iPhone will also include some technological advances as well.
