Facebook wants to make small game developers bigger in a new program designed for the social network to take a cut out of growing mobile gaming profits.

Facebook can offer 800 million mobile users, which is likely highly attractive to small and often struggling developers, and 260 million regular gamers. Already Brainbow, Kiwi, Space Ape and Gameloft have joined Facebook's effort.
The gain is obvious for Facebook, it's getting more mobile ads and revenue if the endeavor succeeds -- especially if it garners any of the in-app purchase profits. It is enough to take on the App Store and Google Play? Likely not, but Facebook's need is just to gain a little more mobile money to make its shareholders happy.
