Chinese appliance manufacturer Haier announced that it has gained one of the first Apple certifications for its new air conditioner.
Haier made the announcement the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Wednesday, and informed the world that it was the first appliance to get the MFi seal (made for iPhone/iPad/iPod) which means that Apple's standards of use were met, according to 9to5 Mac.
Haier also plans to have washing machines and refrigerators win the Apple seal.
While the seal simply means it will work well with Apple handheld devices, the seal is often seen as an endorsement that could mean better sales.
Haier will likely be gaining some positive press and possibly some new sales because of the Apple certification logo.
