Mark Zuckerberg Likes Mitt Romney – Sort Of

One of Facebook's bugs comes back to haunt Zuckerberg.

Sometimes that little "Like" button on Facebook can be tricky. You know how sometimes you see a story that you are glad was posted but the contents of it might be something bad. Do you click that "Like" button or not?

The latest victim of a misinterpreted "Like" is none other than Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg himself.

The Zuck recently "Liked" a  post by Slate writer Farhad Manjoo, about Mitt Romney. The post was a photo of Romney's logo and the phrase, "just try looking at the Romney logo without seeing the word MONEY."

As Gawker reports, the problem came when the post was reshared. Manjoo's comment was stripped out and only the link and thumbnail remained. So right next to the photo and link was Zuckerberg's profile icon and the words "Mark Zuckerberg and xxx others like this," making it appear that Zuckerberg endorses Mitt Romney.

That's when the Internet flamed out.

Here are a few comments (barely) fit for print:

"zuckerberg, you suck. So your a good little Harvard guy who sides with other harvard white a** republicans."

"of course Zuckerberg likes Romney. Romney's a rich ***hole looking out for other richies, like Zuckerberg"

"Money + Money = Money..........lol......dislike Mark!!!

"Zuck, the wealthy should abstain from endorsements of anyone (especially another wealthy person) as president. It only harms you in the long run."
