Randi Zuckerberg, former marketing director of Facebook Inc., is writing a memoir about her time at the social network.
Randi Zuckerberg, sister of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, plans on penning a memoir about her time working at Facebook and also a children's book for a major publisher.
Randi Zuckerberg made the deal with publisher HarperCollins for the memoir and a picture book for children, according to the Christian Science Monitor. “I am thrilled to be working with HarperCollins to share some of my own crazy experiences on the front lines of social media and to inspire people of all ages to embrace technology, as well as the new set of social norms that come along with it,” she said in a statement.
The memoir, called "Dot Complicated" will also include digital extras for readers and is planned to drop on Nov. 5.
Randi Zuckerberg was director of marketing for Facebook before she left in 2011 to found a production studio. The fruits of that labor was the short-lived Bravo series "Start-Ups: Silicon Valley." The memoir will be about her six years with Facebook and being one of the first 25 employees of the company.
This won't be the first book from an early Facebook employee, Katherine Losse, Facebook's 51st employee, also wrote a memoir about her time at the company titled "The Boy Kings" which was called "uneven" by Kirkus Reviews.
