    Yes, you read that right. And yes, you may have missed the news about the wave of Califronia cities that are attempting to ban circumcision-- because there is no such wave.

    There is San Francisco, where a bizarre local initiative to enact such a ban has made the ballot. It has no chance of winning, which is why the state legislature shouldn't be bothering with legislation.

    Because if we need to pass a state law to pre-empt every crazy policy idea that gets proposed in San Francisco, the legislature wouldn't have time to do anything else.
