Flying High with Branson

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is schmoozing with some of the world's elite and wants you to know. Actually, this flight with entrepreneur Richard Branson was designed to help promote California business.

As our governor, pictured seated across the aisle from the British billionaire, tweeted this morning "On Virgin America's first international flight with @richardbranson. Great to be on a CA airline."

The California-based airline celebrated its recently added international service Tuesday with a flight to Toronto. The twice-daily flights stop at San Francisco International Airport between Los Angeles International airport and Toronto Pearson International.

The governor continued, "Not only is this the most fuel efficient airlind, but today @richardbranson is announcing new flights to Canada and Mexico so get ready."

Not to be outdone, Branson tweeted just a few minutes later: "Celebrating @VirginAmerica's Toronto service w @Schwarzenegger @35,000 ft. "

Virgin America launched in August 2007 and, according to company officials, has created 1,600 new jobs.
