Paul McCartney to Play Summer Concert at Dodger Stadium

Sir Paul's tour ends in California, so he makes a stop in LA

It took nearly 50 years, but Sir Paul McCartney will once again take the field at Dodger Stadium.

The former Beatle will play Chavez Ravine in a one-night concert Aug. 10 as part of his worldwide "Out There" tour. The team made the announcement shortly before tonight’s game, with a Jumbotron video montage of McCartney performances.

It’ll be the first time the musical legend will play Dodger Stadium since The Beatles’ played there back on August 28, 1966. It’ll also be his first L.A. show since he played two nights at the Hollywood Bowl in 2010.

Tickets go on sale May 5. They start at $25. But, if you have an American Express card you’ll get special treatment. The team says a pre-sale for AmEx card holders will be on May 1 at 10 a.m. So, make sure your internet connection is working right that morning.
