Dodgers Open Up Spring Training Ticket Sales

The Dodgers first spring game is scheduled for February 26

We are almost through the dark times, Dodger fans! Pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training in less than a month, and you can make the journey to catch some games starting Feb. 26. Can you feel the warmth of the Arizona sun and the pain of your first sunburn of 2014 yet?

You will have 13 chances, through March 26, to catch the team at the Camelback Ranch, home of the Dodgers and the Chicago White Sox. Tickets go on sale Monday at Dodgers.com and start at just $8.

If you have never been to Spring Training, it is a fantastic experience and is worth making the trek to Arizona. There is nothing quite like it in the world of professional sports.

No giant, flashing video boards, loud music, giant stadiums or unruly fans. Spring Training creates a fun, friendly atmosphere and brings you professional baseball in its purest form.

The games are affordable, the crowds are extra friendly, and the players are as accessible as they ever will be. While Los Angeles has been having a very warm winter, the weather in Arizona during February and March is fantastic, and a perfect compliment to a day-time ballgame.

One of the biggest appeals to Spring Training is the proximity of each team's stadium. You can travel from park-to-park and catch games at different locations everyday.

Unfortunately, it is being cut short a few days this season as the Dodgers kick off the regular season in Australia on March 20. Then they return home for their pre-season scrimmage series with the Angels March 27-29. The first regular season game they will play--on US soil--is March 30 in San Diego.
