On Sunday, Kobe Bryant posted a picture on his Instagram account hinting that he may have a third child on the way. Bryant has been vacationing in Europe since completing his basketball camp in Santa Barbara, and apparently, his latest stop was Paris.
With the Eiffel Tower in the background, a warm filter and a romantic gold heart effect accented Kobe and Vanessa Bryant locking lips in Paris. Kobe wrote a personal note to Vanessa before asking “3rd bimbo ;)?”
No, Kobe did not call Vanessa a bimbo.
In Italian, “bimbo” means “baby,” so instantly, the social media universe caught fire. Would there be a third Bryant child? Would it be a boy? Would he be a third generation NBA player? (Kobe’s father, Joe Bryant, also played in the NBA.)
Joe Bryant spent time playing basketball in Italy, and Kobe Bryant speaks fluent Italian for that reason. On that note, Kobe has been predominantly spending his vacation in Italy. He was recently pictured visiting Milanello, the training ground and home facilities of AC Milan. AC Milan was Kobe’s favorite soccer team growing up.
Beyond the potential of a third child brought on by the union of Kobe and Vanessa, the image and news served to reinforce that the Bryants are staying together. They were set to file for divorce late in 2012, but news broke that they had reconciled and called off the divorce by early 2013.
On Monday morning, Vanessa Bryant posted a picture of Sunday mass in Milan on her Instagram, so she appears to be alongside Kobe on his Italian vacation. She also included the hashtag "Notpregnant," so that should calm down the presses for the moment.
The couple already has two children—both girls. Natalia Diamante Bryant, the oldest daughter, turned 10-years-old in January, and Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant turned seven-years-old in May.
