BILLY Turns 30 at IKEA

We wonder what percentage of the population owns, or has ever owned, a BILLY bookcase by IKEA. We're betting it's up there, given that they are simply designed, versatile and -- you guessed it -- cheap.

Well, BILLY is celebrating a milestone birthday and IKEA has created some limited edition models that are in stores now. For under $50. They're slightly less versatile, perhaps, than their plain white cousins, but they sure are fun.

There's an IKEA -- as if you don't already know -- in Burbank at 600 N San Fernando Blvd.
