Bunny Boy Baby Romper from MOCA

Yoshitomo Nara is a Japanese pop artist famous for creating images of seemingly cute and innocent children who, upon closer examination, are actually grumpy, devious-looking and often brandishing weapons. Which, minus the weapons part, describes most children, at certain times of the day.

And that is why we love this baby romper, with its Nara "Bunny Boy" illustration, so very much. Because every baby is cute, and also has a little Nara in 'em.

Gifting this to a new parent will get you an initial ooo and ahhh, followed by a nod of understanding. Plus, the tightrope metaphor (are we reading too much into this?)... genius.
