Dark Delicacies
"Dark Delicacies III" co-edited by Dark Delicacies owner Del Howison; find it at his store in Burbank.
If you like the frightening fiction, and you live near Burbank, you likely visit Dark Delicacies on a regular basis. And not just in October, either.
Dark Delicacies not only caters to the horror-writing fan, but movie lovers, lovers of goth jewelry, mavens of scary decor. And Del Howison, the man behind the counter? A local legend among the fans. He owns the place, he knows his stuff, he even co-edits horror anthologies. (One recent book is pictured.)
Now that is a businessperson who is committed to their store and mission.
Plus, he's so friendly; no supernatural scowling or acting like a monster from this affable man. Also, Del's hair? Is kind of a legend, too. We're a fan.
Go talk to Del and his wife Sue, ask them to recommend the latest and greatest vampire novel, and spend awhile browsing a one-of-a-kind shop. It's open all year long, too. Gols we love this town.
