BASTILLE DAY BROWSING: There are plenty of stores representing all points around the globe here in LA, and several offering French finery, but a few particular spots stand out for their pretty ways and authentic touches. Paris 1900 in Santa Monica caters to many brides, but there are plenty of frilly wearables for the non-bride-to-be. Vintageweave Interiors boasts all sorts of rustic-meets-antique-y gems; seeing a classic tabletop Eiffel Tower is not an unlikely site. And the French General of Silver Lake stocks all sorts of notions and textiles. We like this site tres much. It's a sight to see. OH, AND ABOUT THOSE CROISSANTS: Maison Richard, but of course. You heard they're up near Melrose now, right?
