Cinefamily is doing a special Fred Moss night -- he was one of the artists that lent '70s animation its vibe -- and giving away a certain number of "The Point!" DVDs.

Which makes us say right now that you should get on this asap. Tuesday night, November 3rd, Silent Movie. Plus, cartoon brain Jerry Beck will be screening Fred Moss gems, like a particular, uber-well-known owl-starring commercial.

HOW many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop, anyway? The eternal question.

We've been thinking about those "The Point!" DVDs, and the beautiful Harry Nilsson soundtrack. Nilsson, who is responsible for "Everybody's Talkin'," the song that gave "Midnight Cowboy" that sad, on-the-road longing, was the driving force behind "The Point!" The music is transcendent.

So now, to find the soundtrack on CD, or, we dream, vinyl. Looks like Amazon has several leads for both new and used copies. If you adore the early '70s ballad, you probably already own it. If you don't, get to know it.
