"The Grammar Devotional" by Mignon Fogarty debuted on Tuesday, October 27th.
What internet aficionado wouldn't love to be known as one of the most successful podcasters in all the land? It's quite the mantle, but Mignon Fogarty deserves it.
If you haven't heard of Ms. Fogarty, we'll give you a clue to her specialty when we tell you we just popped by a dictionary site to make sure it was "mantle" we meant and not "mantel" (tell us you also sometimes confuse the two, too). Mignon Fogarty is the Grammar Girl, and if you've spent any time on iTunes you've surely seen her animated visage smiling back at you.
Because her quippy and zippy podcasts about language are huge. Ginormous. Would she be mad at us, using a made-up word like "ginormous"? Probably not, because she's got a sense of humor about it all.
She also has a new book, which debuted on Tuesday, October 27th. It's called "The Grammar Devotional" and it is full of ideas for making your day-to-day writing stronger.
We're fans of her tricks to remember the weirdest of rules. Give it a glance, wordsmiths, and all you many, many people who regularly download the GG podcasts. Via Amazon, $10.20
