Diana: Legacy of a Princess will debut at the Queen Mary on Saturday, June 16.

A ROYAL EXHIBIT: Of all the regal locations in Southern California, few are as elegant and title-adorned as the Queen Mary. And when the historic ocean liner partners with a charity Pink Ribbons Crusade to create an exhibit, it is no surprise that said exhibit would pay tribute to the memory of Diana, Princess of Wales. The Queen Mary has announced that Diana: Legacy of a Princess will open in a new gallery space aboard the ship on Saturday, June 16. On display? Gowns, photographs, heirlooms, and more effects associated with the Princess of Wales. The ship notes that "this is the first shipboard exhibit to combine personal and historical artifacts affiliated with the Royal Family...," so monarchy mavens should definitely take note. Also of note? The exhibit will look back at members of the Royal Family who actually sailed on the Queen Mary, before she anchored in Long Beach for good back in 1967.

PINK RIBBONS CRUSADE: A portion of the proceeds will go to "a select, non-profit beneficiary in Southern California" that is "focused on breast cancer awareness and prevention." For further information on the all-volunteer organization, visit its Facebook page.

TEA ROOM AND MORE: A renovated portion of the ship's Sun Deck will serve as the new 13,000-square-foot gallery space; a tea room and a gift shop within that space will be new to regular visitors to the Queen Mary.
