Parks and Rec: If you didn’t know it was coming, it would fly right past you. The official National Parks Fee Free Days is going on from Saturday, January 15 to Monday, January 17 this year. Some of America’s greatest national treasures—national parks—are even better when explored free of charge. The Best Part? Many of the 100-plus parks are right in our back yard in Cali. Lucky us!
Here’s a tip: Many of your 394 national parks are always free so plan your visits accordingly. Visit the most pricey and sought-after ones first, perhaps? Like Yosemite, Alcatraz Island or even Yellowstone. Also, check for vendor deals--they are surely just as excited about the free weekend as we are. Happy trails!
