Lompoc Restaurant Week: $20.17 Deals

Sup around the Santa Barbara County burg and save on good eats.

DOES MARVELING AT MURALS... put you in the mood for a meal? While strolling by mammoth outdoor artworks can definitely be a "your mileage may vary" kind of pursuit, let's guess that all of that fresh air, and walking, and observing of various themes and paint techniques can put a devoted mural maven in a food-ready frame of mind. If you've ever tried just this sort of pursuit out — mural-looking, followed by a delicious lunch — then you very likely tried it in Lompoc. After all, the Santa Barbara County town is one of the Golden State cities known for its astounding collection of alfresco, large-scale, on-the-side-of-buildings paintings. And a day out in Lompoc often concludes with cuisine, at a great local restaurant. It just so happens that a number of local restaurants have gotten together on a special dine-out deal — yep, it's $20.17, as in 2017, so that's a cinch to remember — and it is happening allllmost through to the end of February. It's...

LOMPOC RESTAURANT WEEK, and, that's right, it is happening a few weeks past California Restaurant Month, when so many cities and counties hold their own local Restaurant Weeks. Lompoc's walking to a different beat and hosting that $20.17 three-course supping deal (plus tax and tip) from Feb. 20 through 27. What places are on board? Alfie's Authentic English Fish & Chips, Nikka Fish Enterprise, Scratch Kitchen, and several other eateries around the charmer of a town. A town, by the by, which will see some colorful flower fields in just a matter of months. But February is for feasting, and not spending a lot of cash to do so, and, as always, enjoying those exquisite, oh-so-Lompoc-lovely murals, too.
