YOUR MISSION: Should you choose to accept it (and you should!) is head down to San Diego for the 27th annual Mission Federal Art Walk, where over 300 artists will be showcasing their work along the streets of Little Italy. Also on tap for the weekend: more than 30 music and dance performances, including San Diego-based musicians like beachside crooner Charlie Imes and Spanish gypsy guitarist David de Alva.
The Mission Federal Art Walk also offers plenty of activities for families, including kidswalk, which provides art-based funtime for your, well, kids. Participating arts organizations include everything from Art with Larisse (which teaches basic art skills) to Coroado School of the Arts (which teaches face painting).
