WILDFLOWERS AND WILDLIFE: If you had a chance to journey to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in February or March, along with the oodles of other adventurers looking for wildflowers, then you likely kept an eye out for one of the beloved residents of the area: the bighorn sheep. Finding one in the ocotillo-lovely, scrubby-spectacular landscape isn't always a walk in the park, as you walk in the Desert State Park, but it is a true thrill for those hikers who spy a hoof-sporting celebrity up in the crags of a canyon. SAN DIEGO ZOO SAFARI PARK, which is home to a flock of desert bighorn wonders. As for the littlest bighorns? A pair of female lambs may be seen in the park's Condor Ridge habitat. They aren't sisters, though perhaps in spirit, and they were born about a week apart, with baby #1 arriving on March 19 and baby #1 saying hello on March 25. That means they're still on the itty-bitty side, at least as far as an animal with "big" in its very name, and they're already winning online fans.
