San Diego Bird Festival

BIRDLY BUFFS: An avid birder we know once told us bird-watching was one of the best skills to learn in the world. Why? Because if you're outside, or looking outside, you're likely to see something of a winged nature. And thus, boredom is always kept at bay. It's very sound advice, we think, and we're sure that feather fans love their birdly pursuits for myriad reasons. If that's you, or you want to know more, the San Diego Audubon Society is holding its Bird Festival from Thursday, March 3 through Sunday, March 6.

ACTIVITIES: There will be birding trips to area lagoons. There will be social mixers. And there will be the meeting of people who know their avian topics. Get info on the Mission Bay celebration.
