From dolphin shows to shark exhibits, SeaWorld San Diego is a marine park full of endless adventures for the whole family.

With adrenaline-fueled rides like Manta, a brand new rollercoaster opening May 26, and hilarious shows like Sea Lions LIVE, it's easy to label SeaWorld San Diego a theme park. But stars like Shamu aren't the only thing that rock at the family-friendly destination.

Beginning May 5 and running every weekend through May 20, SeaWorld San Diego will host Viva La Musica, a fiery music festival that pairs some of SoCal's most savory Mexican dishes with today's hottest Latin acts. Concerts will take place in the ocean-front Cirque Stadium, and music will range from modern, like the electronic-inflected Latin rhythms of Roberto Tapia (who kicks the festival off on May 5), to traditional, like Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlan, a fifth-generation mariachi ensemble whose roots date back to 1897.

The food will be just as good. Families can indulge in south-of-the-border cuisine like arroz con leche, shredded birria-style beef tacos and escabeche shrimp cocktail, while parents won't mind grabbing a cocktail or Mexican beer from the bar. And while Viva La Musica concerts are included with park admission, there are even VIP packages that come with meals and guaranteed seating.

Located just two hours south of Los Angeles on the 405, San Diego is a quick and affordable escape for your family. For more information on SeaWorld San Diego's renowned attractions, unmissable rides and a full lineup for Viva La Musica, click here.
