KELLY WEARSTLER'S BOOK ON STYLE: Anyone who complains that a lot of hotels look a whole lot of the same (we don't buy into that ourselves, but yes, sameness can run amuck in certain corners if allowed) cannot say that about a property overseen by designer Kelly Wearstler.
THE VICEROY SANTA MONICA, AVALON, THE VICEROY PALM SPRINGS... Just to name a few of the hotels she has Hollywood-Regency'd and be-fabric'd and be-fabulous'd in recent years. The Tides South Beach, with all its shades of butter and gold, comes to mind. You know when you are sitting in a well-Wearstler'd room, and if you'd like to know more about her style, you can pick up "Hue."
