SUPPER CLUB CELEBRATION: When looking for the ideal spot to welcome the brand-spankin'-fresh new year, we typically have a few key words we keep on file. "Hotel" is always helpful; if you don't feel like driving home, it is helpful to have rooms with beds just above your head. "Supper club" are two more good words; they speak of a different day, of cufflinks and flirting and flutes that you drink from (and that are occasionally played). And "cinnamon ice cream" seals the deal.
NEW YEAR'S EVE AT SHUTTERS: The Supa Lowery Brothers will be providing the Dec. 31-style entertainment at the beach-close property. One Pico will be doing up the fancy-fancy eats. Yep, cinnamon ice cream is on the menu, but so are several other tasty items, like Colorado rack of lamb, tortoloni, and John Dory. You can check out the full menu here. Can you believe it is 2011? Can you believe it is that time again where we say "can you believe it is almost ---"? We can't.
PRICE: $185 for the four courses and paired wines and the party and the party favors and the musical jazzy entertainment. Reservations are a must, says Shutters.
